PVC Fume Exhaust Fans
The primary group of plastic fans typically used in industrial ventilation systems is those constructed of synthetic plastic polymers, polypropylene (PP), and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Most plastic fans purchased are PVC construction. They are relatively inexpensive and able to withstand a broad range of aggressive environments and temperature to 165°F for polypropylene wheels and 140° F for PVC housings. PVC fans are an excellent choice for the efficient conveyance of corrosive, chemically-laden, humid, or polluted gases, fumes, and air. Flame-retardant and corrosion-resistant, they are especially suited for hostile environments in which coated metals fail.
SysTech PVC fans have important features for corrosive airstreams:
- Impellers in either polypropylene or PVDF
- Injection-molded blades for high efficiency
- No metal in the airstream
- Casings are thermoformed and automatically welded
- Forwardly curved fan wheel blades
- Quiet operation
